Environmental horticulture is designed to give students skills in the areas of nursery management, landscaping, plant reproduction, plant physiology, pest management, and production in all seasonal applications of plant agronomy. Leadership development, business management, and employability skills are developed alongside the aforementioned skill (s) and allow students to experience labor as both the worker and manager of a horticulture operation. Students will complete laboratory experimental activities such as researching, recording and analyzing data, and promoting critical thinking and life skills.
